tachometer install

    Whats up everyone just wanted to ask i got a 91 toy 22re 2wd 4cyl and i was wondering if anyone has pics or what wire im suppose to tap into to get the rpm signal for my tach or if anyone has pics of a tach install they did. any advice or pics would help! Thanks!

    There should be a single wire round plug with a rubber cap with the power wires for the ignitor. That's the tach lead. Just plug into it.

    Its an aftermarket one just one from autozone lol

    I guess my question is where is the part im suppose to plug into im not sure where to tap into like which wire if im making any sense?

    Need a switched +, a ground, and the tach signal is off of the Neg coil terminal

    Is that where the tach gets its signal to read the rpms? On the negative coil terminal?
