    Hello all,

I moved to Portland, OR about a year ago from Savannah, GA. Since arriving, my girlfriend bought a '93 2wd with a 22RE and I've bought an '81 2wd with a 22r. We're both noobs but love our trucks. I'll be looking to this site for inspiration and advice. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the land of liquid sunshine. I'll be blasting through pdx in my freightliner right about rush hour today. Lucky me!

What are your plans on the rig(s)?

Thanks All! First80toyota, be careful what you wish for I just may call on you for help. White Trash, I have a few plans for both trucks. The '93 is about 5 different shades of grey sitting on the standard-fare black steel wheels we see on ice tires so often around here- but my lady like's the post-apocalyptic look so it'll stay like that. Not a truck you'd wash, if you know what I mean. I also like the paint on my '81, even the hood patina so it'll stay red. I'm going to paint the rims white and keep the black dog bowls on them. I'll probably do some accent white on it as well, maybe the grill? I want some white walls on there too. I'm thinking about putting LC headers on both, still debating carbs because I see as many "stay stock" recommendations as I see "get a weber". That's about as far as I've thought. I like the stock ride hight on my '81. I wouldn't mind some noticeable tread on the tires, nothing off-road knobby but just enough. I'll put up some pics of both so y'all can check them out.

The only people that say not to put a weber on a truck do so because they couldn't figure out their stock carb either and ended up at a shop that put a reman stock carb on it.

Weber or efi, stock carbs suck.

I like the lce header on my 89. It's a bit close to my 1 ton torsion bar but it clears otherwise.
