Been hoarding a whole bunch of parts lately. 4wd fenders, hydro ebrake, 5 point harnesses, steel blocks instead of aluminum. Getting a whole new wheel setup soon hopefully. Theyre Volk TE37 repa. 16x8 +25 and i would like to run 205/45. Anyone have an idea if ill fit the wheels with full steering lock?

Love the truck and the work you've done thus far. I've been contemplating lowering mine but I'm doing a drag set up in mine and need all the room in the back I can get as I'm planning a 26/10.5-15 m/t et streets on Chrysler rally wheels bolted to a Explorer 8.8" rear. For my driveline i just acquired a 1985 Buick Grand National 3.8l turbo engine that ill run and hoping to get a deal on a lt1 t56 6 speed. Keep us updated!!

I'd definitely go with spindles, bigger torsions, and rear swaybar for the exploder axle.i really like my new leafs too, they're not droopy and overly soft. What's the specs on the Chrysler wheels? I'd recommend a deep dish in the rear so you can get wider rims and stance. Those v6's are super quick, gotta buddy with one pushing 600 on 34psi in his GN

Okay guys been working on the project. Painting the floor pans Currently, aluminum switch panel, 5 point harnesses, hydro e brake, and ordering rims Monday.

Using POR-15. I'm using a white topcoat so the UV doesnt ruin the color.

Ksport hydro, and George 5point harness 3". Making a new hydro handle so it's longer. I'm going to fabricate a harness bar from the OEM seatbelt holes that Weill eventually tie into a 6 point cage. I'm waiting to install the hydro and harnesses after I get my bride buckets.
    I'm ordering rims Monday. Avid.1 AV-06 17x8 +35. They're replicas of Volk te37s

Everything's been going good but I have a fat problem. My alternator doesn't keep its charge. When I start it up, it's good but I put too much draw, it will eventually not charge and run off the battery and kill the truck. Got a new altinator, not the problem. Yes all my grounds are good and I've token them off and grind them out just to be on the safe side.

I plan to get a explorer rear and then look at the common size 8.8" 31 spline axles for the explorer housing to see what backspace ill need. I'm going to try to use a stock length axle from something to keep it cheap and squeeze what I need in. If I can't get it ill order custom. Just want the stock axle width from something so I can find used aftermarket axles in a cut down explorer rear. Pic of g.n. engine...

Have a link for some bigger torsion bars for the front? Definatly need them in thinking because of the extra weight. I might try the stock ones as they'll help weight transfer. Definatly need a adjustable rear sway bar to help it launch straight. I'm looking into the caltrac monoleafs as they might be narrower and give me more tire clearance also as leaves are 1st to hit tire. Looks like I've got 11" total clearance from 2wd bed wheelwell to leaf spring. - 1/4" clearance each side for axle side to side and I've only got a 10 1/2" sidewall with a 28" tire. No choices... Stuck with 26/10.5-15 et street with rolled wheel lip. Now to find backspace. Need to move a mustang out of my garage to get it in...

Buried that torsion crossmember RIGHT to a sewer line 50 ft away from my road. I'm thinking it's definitely totaled. Cross member up into oil pan, torsions bent, door isn't aligned anymore, hood won't shut, rad core is a little wrangled, torsion mounts are bent and bowed to the frame, canad throttle cab,e stuck wide open. with that being said, thinking about a tube front end.

Tore some of the truck apart today, definitely totaled. Trying to get state to pay for the damage since the road is pretty bad, maybe I can slide by it. Frame creased and bowed. Don't know what I'm going to end up doing.ceither full tube front with Nissan Silvia steering/suspension, or do a complete frame swap.

Well nothing's happened to the truck. State looked at it and waiting for what they have to say.
