Hey everyone, Welcome to the new forum software! We've completed the forum migration and everything went as planned. All forum user accounts, discussions, and gallery images have been upgraded to the new software. Here are just a few of the cool features of our new forum software has: - Better mobile support means the site will look and work great on smartphones and tablets - You can now "Like" someone's forum post if it was useful to you..or if you simply agree with what the person said. Your "Likes" show in your user profile. We may do something later with ranking people who have the most number of Likes. - PMs are now called "Conversations" and you can have a conversation that includes multiple people. - It's easier than ever to share conversation threads on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. - Spam filtering is much more intelligent to keep the spammers away. - Speed. The new forum software is quite a bit more efficient, and so it loads pages very quickly. There are still a few items that we didn't get accomplished during the past 48 hours. For instance, I'd like to create a "Trending Discussion" area that will show (possibly real time) what threads have activity. Please use this thread to provide any feedback that you may have about the new software. Or, if you have any problems using it or figuring our how something works, just reply in this thread or send me a PM. Enjoy!
I'm digging it for the most part but the few things that seems to be a kind of off (at least to me) is the date of the latest post being listed as days of the week and not an actual date unless its more then a week old and the date of thread started is kind of hard to see. Actually anything in that smaller font and the light grey color blends into the background pretty bad. Anyway to darken up that font color?
Looks good to me, working well in my Samsung S5, glad to have it compatible on my smartphone, that was one of the reasons I didn't waste my lunches on here
Good feedback. I've added more contrast to the posted date that appear at the bottom of each message. I'll have to look into the "mark forums read" thing. Glad to hear it is working well on mobile - that's definitely something I'm most excited about.
Groovy, thanks for looking into it. The old forum worked fine on mobile running no forum viewer bs like tapatalk etc. This version seems solid too.
So far so good on my Iphone. I like the new look. Theres just a lot of newsbot posts when i hit "new posts" tab. But it does provide some random reading material lol
Don't know if it was there before or not but there is one right under the HOME tab up at the top of the page.
Hmm, how large is the photo that you're uploading? The attachment size limit is 2MB per file, so if your file is larger than that, you'll need to downsize it a bit.
New site looks good. Old one worked fine for me too. I do have a question though -- why does this forum group 76-78 Hilux trucks with the 3rd generation of trucks up to 1983, instead of the 2nd gen trucks that they actually are? I never understood this and thought it would be one of the changes coming. Thanks
Yea the proper organization would make more sense. Maybe they're going more by suspension design, but that wouldn't work out either since 78 was the cut off year for front coil springs. Did we lose the ability to multi-quote or am I just missing it? The mark forums read toggle is there while the page is loading but disappears when the page is finished loading. It is available in the ... drop down menu though.
The "mark forums read" is up in top menu bar next to "New Post". Ihave to click thr 3 "..." Then click thr "Mark Forums read". I this is on my phone. Will have to cheack computer when i get home.
It looks like any photos that were uploaded to the forum system are working. The ones I'm seeing not working are ones that were uploaded somewhere else. For instance, this one looks like it is hosted on Facebook and it isn't working: https://scontent-b-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1/1978851_284837005002752_1137807600_n.jpg That's from your "Look ma, no handle" post on Mar. 7 2014. My guess is that Facebook is blocking external viewing of those photos...or that photo simply isn't at that location anymore.
