well I might be buying header soon so the egr might have to go

but I am lucky enough to own a 94 and have a stuiped egr temp sensor

so I have to add a resitor to the plug to trick the ecu but what range to pic ???
I know it mess's with the timing map if you don't get it right

these are the ranges toyota gives

as of now I am just going to get my truck up to norm temp then find out the Resistance of the sensore and match it but what if i choose it when it is colder ???

i deleted mine on my 89 3vze and the check engine lamp rarely to never comes on, maybe every 3000 miles or so but it shuts off after 2 or 3 starts. it has the temp sensor as well also it let me find the rev limiter at 6500 rpm

I did this on my old 3 liter as well I just added in resistor value that I found on the net and the light never came on

but i know if you choose wrong it can suffer in performance some what

I just wounder if just give the Resistance cold it will bump the timing map the way I want since the egr is not working at that point

so that is my plan thus far i just hope it wonte throw a code

i had the CEL come on, found it was the EGR system. so i talked to a few of the old-timers in the shop. they said a quick trick is to just get a couple strands of thin wire and loop it in the sensor connector. IDK about the performance side but my CEL hasnt come on since.

I'm deleting mine as well. But don't have a Cali emissions truck so I don't have the temp switch anyway. Lucky me right!?
