Hey guys I'm new to this site and had a question for you. I have a 1981 Toyota sr5 long bed I used belltech springs and 5" angled blocks with air shocks in the rear but for some reason it just doesn't seem to sit low enough. Any suggestions?

Did you take the bumpstops out?

Yes, and I notched the frame about 1 3/4. But the axle doesn't even seem to ride up in it.

Is it a stiff ride? Maybe too much air in the shocks?

In the pictures all the air is out I even tried taking the shocks off and it still stayed at the same height.

Did you measure before the drop to see where it was and then measure after? Maybe youre lowered however much your supposed to be with that setup.

You can get another inch if you let the air out of the tires

Ya, I measured the wheel gap before I installed the blocks and springs and I should be at least an 1" lower.

Your springs might need time to settle, if you're only expecting an inch.

I've had the springs on for about a month or two. I wonder if I shortened my hangers if that would help.

How much do the springs lower the truck? 2"?

When the springs were installed, did you wait till it was back on the ground to tighten the hanger/shackle bolts?

Loosen the shackles a bit, bounce it up and down and tighten it back up
