howdy, i'm new to the site. I've been on the 4x4 forums for years with my '84 4runner, now i'd like to fix up my Daily Driver a bit.
Its an '85 Sr5 4x2 auto X-cab. I used to own an '84 single cab with the 22r and i always kept my eyes peeled for a 2wd 22re x-cab. I finally found this thing and love it! it has every option, sr5 seats working a/c etc. I am the 2nd owner.

First thing i did was get the windows tinted. Just a mild tint, nothing crazy. Now i'm on to the rear suspension. it rides ROUGH! its only got 2 leaves, and it was sitting on the overload so i thought i'd ad a leaf to get it up off the overload and see if that helped. No good! still rides very stiff in the rear. I'm at a loss of what to do here so thougt i'd post it up here to see what tricks y'all can let me in on!

cool thanks, ya i guess i didn't consider the shocks as the culprit. i may pull them off just to see if it helps the stiffness, then i can look into buying some.

Thanks, it was a good find! I don't plan on going crazy with it, just more of a restoration. the bed is starting to rust so i'd like to fix that, which means a new paint job.
