Hey all, just found this site while searching around for info on my truck. I inherited the truck about a year ago from my grandma. It was my grandpa's truck and it had been sitting since he passed several years ago. It's a 22RE with an Auto. It just hit 71k miles so it isn't even broken in yet. The only bummer about it is typical of my grandpa it's about the most stripped down base model you can get other than the auto and AC. (Oh how I hate manual windows/locks)

Mods: nothing really other than a new stereo with a custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure that I fabbed up that fits under the driver side rear seat and some plastidip on the stock wheels.

Future Mods: it just developed a nasty exhaust leak so I'm getting ready to do a custom 2.25" exhaust w/ magnaflow parts. I'd like to install cruise if I can figure out how to do it with OEM parts. Maybe an intake of some kind...

What are some things I should keep an eye out for? Known problems etc...

Are there any free mods that are well known for these trucks?

 

wats up man. welcome! lots of little tricks and cheap mods! just keep searching, too many to list. free easy mod, bump up the ign timing (if u have a timing light)
