So, the infamous squeals the bugs the heck out of us Mini truckers, or for any druver in general.

I've replaced all the belts (a/c, ps, & alt.) but the hammer is still squealing, any thoughts? Tension has been set to OE specs.

    Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

When does it squeal? cold start, hot start, low rpm, high rpm, only when a hottie is watching, all the damn time?

Hahaha! I hate when that happens. That or the brakes squeal.

If it is belt slippage and not a bearing. Try cleaning your pulley grooves with carb cleaner/sandpaper/steel wool.

Worked for me in the past :)

Try some belt dressing. Not sure of the actual name of the product, but parts guys should know what you are looking for.

I had a horrible experience with this. I had the splash shield under the truck removed and water and debri kept making it to my belts. Tightening did not work and new belts did the same. I ended up putting the cover back cleaned the pulleys with brake cleaner and a wire brush and that did it.

I bet that's what's causing my to squeal on occasion. I've always meant to put that back under there. Guess I'll be doing it at next oil change.

Strange as it may sound but the idler pulley may be going bad. I thought it was the power steering pump and was about to replace it when I figured it out. Anyways, good luck!

Yeah, after changing out the alternator the belts were still squealing. Not like, a constant squeal, but little squeals here and there when balancing the clutch and gas pedal on an uphill stop light. Changed all the belts and set the tensions right, but still no gold.

I've got bigger problems now, so will be posting it up in a few. Hope y'all could help

    thanks guys!
