Alright boys I am pretty gun hoe on ordering these soon! They are 18x9.5 with +20mm. I think they will look dam good. Tire wise im going to run 215/45/18 or 205/45/18. Everywhere Ive looked says they will fit just fine. But Id rather not have to send them back. So help a brother out!!! Thanks!
The truck is made of malleable material so yes, things can be massaged to allow them to fit as needed.
That doesnt look like too bad of a stretch. Ive seen people stretch 205/40/18 on an 18x10 its a scary sight. But how much metal messaging will be needed? like a little fender roll or a something a little more difficult!
shouldnt be worried about looks as much as safety. Stretching tires that much is just not safe. Run wide meaty tires, it looks better anyways!
That's a good lookin setup! The small amount of stretch with the 215 isn't going to be an issue with safety. A smaller tire with a more aggressive stretch would make me a little concerned. I would say that you will have to roll the fenders and probably even have to do a little pull at the very top to get them to clear. It all depends on how low you go and how far the tire is inside the lip. A good way to make room up front would be to get a set of 4wd front fenders and roll the inner lip. You'll also have to get the 4wd corner lights, front bumper and valance. Looks more aggressive IMO anyway.
It's all about what look or what kind of function you want out of your truck. If you want stretched tires and don't mind rolling fenders or pulling fenders or even swapping them out for 4wd fenders etc, then do it. It's up to each individual to build their ride how they want to get the look they want. Proper size varies for each wheel and also for what you are trying to achieve. A 215 wide tire on a 9.5 rim isn't a big deal 1/2" stretch on each side. I wouldn't go with a narrower tire at all or a wider rim with a 215 but it will help clear the inner lip of your fender with this stretch.
Ok so I decided to go big or go home and got 18x10.5 with 225/40/18 and the rear fits perfect and looks beautiful. Everywhere I have researched says that our center bore size is 60.1 and the center bore on the miro 398 is 73.1 so why are they not fitting over the hub is my question? I'll post pictures as soon as my computer decides to quit being a douche. Thanks.
Has anyone on the forum sent wheels to a machine shop to bore out the center to fit the hub? If you did how big did you go so the wheel fit perfect. I'm thinkin about 2 3/4in, any input would be great I'm dropping them off Friday!
Found it. It should be about 67.06mm or 67.1mm. Refrence: http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/62811-post2.html http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/116913-post10.html
I'm going to bore them out 10.5 is wide enough for me ha ha. I think Ill go 70.0 mm so it fits tight but goes on and comes off easily! Thanks for the feed back buddy!
