Hello every one, I just "pickup" my 94 "pickup" last week and pretty much in love with it. It got around 109k on odo, and i hope it last me many more.

p.s. i need help with lowering it, not too much but i want to close the wheel gap.

    Welcome!

Well, my 1990 has a carb and a 4 speed, which is semi-antique tech, BUT it has 213,000+ miles and runs like a brand new truck, so I'm willing to bet yours will last quite a while.

I'm sure hope so too, but I just recently found a leak spot on the drive way when I let the truck idle while moving, haven't time to lift it up and look at it yet, but any suggestions?

Crawl under it, look where the transmission meets the engine. If the oil is there, its the rear main engine seal. Not a huge problem but the trans does have to be removed. More than likely its either that, the oil pan leaking, or the front engine seal sometimes likes to fail. Also the valve cover gasket tends to dry up and leak over time, along with the half moon shaped rubber parts that fit in the head.

PS, also look at the tailshaft of the trans, where the driveshaft slips in, the lip type seal in there likes to fail too and allow trans lube to drip out while sitting, this oil stinks though, doesnt smell like engine oil....gear lube has a distinct odor.
