w58 swap need longer speedo cable

    For those of you who have done the swap, what did you use for the speedo cable? Mine is a little short.

    I pulled it out of the little bent tab holders under the floor so it was a straighter shot to the trans. I have since found the original 83 supra piece that adds a few inches to the cable and changes the angle of the speedo output.

    I did the swap a while back, and soon after my speedometer cable broke at the stress point where it bends.
    I went to the local pick n pull and took a cable from an 85 pickup, 2 wheel drive. The cable was prolly 5-6
    inches longer than the original one. I cleaned it up and installed it easily. No problem at all since

    Thanks, I'll have to see if the junk yard has any toyota's I can rob one from.
