engine temp

    What is the normal temp? Got a 22re... i think my termostat is no good...after sitting in traffic n driving home my temp gauge hasnt moved it only move bout 1/4 up..heres a pic

    Your thermostat might be stuck open. I'd get a new one.

    Pull the thermostat cold and place it in a pot of boiling water. It should open in the hot water and close when it cools. If not, get a new one.

    So i changed it still no difference. Is this normal temp?

    Now I'd look into the temp sending unit.

    just leave it alone. if it overheats, it overheats. try run it without some coolant and get it hot. if it climbs up to the red, at least u know it works and will work when it actually overheats. fill back up with coolant.
    my buddy's truck is like that, needle will only move about 1/4 of the way even when warm.

    I second that. Leave it alone. My old 94 temp guage was always at the same spot as yours. Even on a 100 degree day with a/c on full blast it never reached midway point.

    90 standard cab 2wd short bed
    My 90 does this. Changed thermostat and fixed it for about a week then back to the same thing. Been running it like this for 1 year now.
