Wile cruising around on E-bay I found some wheels I really like. Can anyone tell me if these will fit and if I will need spacers? I would rather not have spacers and get the wheel to be flush with the outside of the fender well. If this width and offset isn't good, what width and offset will? My truck will have all the fenders rolled with 4wd fenders in the front. 5" droped front with 7" drop in the rear. 18x9 +25 with 225/40R18 18x10.5 +20 with 225/40 18 Or 18x9 +30 with 225/40 18 18x10.5 +35 with 225/40R18
I have a similiar drop on my truck and i had to cut the bump stops in half all the way around and still rub on full turn or when hitting dips my front rubs...im on 18's with 35's so u might want to rethink 40 series tire cause they will hit often...
i had 18x9.75 +20 running 235/40/18 tyres 3 inch drop all round and it rubs the front wheel wells and STRUT bars on full lock but good other wise EDIT POSTED THE WRONG SIZE
A 235 is approx 9 1/4" wide where as a 225 is Just a touch over 8 3/4" wide. That might be enough difference to help make it clear. I'm really trying to find the perfect wheel width and offset to have the wheels sit flush with the outside of the fenders, have a nice lip and also clear everything. I do understand that at full turn, it could rub on the inside or even while entering or exiting a driveway. A truck I've seen has the same suspension setup I'm doing (5" front and 7" rear) and sits perfect. His set-up is 18x9 +30 front 18x 10 +35 rear 225/40R18 all around. no mention of spacers or if it rubs and such. It looks awesome though.
Back out the steering stopper bolt until it clears. Drawback is your turning radius will be slightly wider.
There has to be someone on here that has a setup like I'm describing and can let me know what offset, size and clearance issues if any they are having. I bet they would even have some pictures to show as well. Can anyone help? If you tell me your size and offset, I'll like to see a few pictures to determine if that is the looks I'm going for. Thanks.
