    ^ Cool man

    Back into storage

Left the olds rolling dodgy as f@$k

No operating taillights, tray tied down, obviously no wof or reg here

Luckily I had my side kick with me, we made across town without a hitch

    hey mate,

i need some panels for my styleside and i saw your tossing that one... i have a 4wd tray and the wheel arches are bigger... i want to close them in to be the same as a 2wd. do you still have your tray?? would you cut the panels off the bottom of the tray i dont no what they are called but they are the panel that is spot welded to the upper section of the quarter panel.

i understand your in NZ but i would pay for your troubles and postage.

    Cheers,
    Leroy

    Hi Leroy

Sorry the old bed went to the scrap metal man.

Could you use a set of 2wd front quarters to stitch on?

    Cheers

    James

Yeah we have more one piece glass models than quarter windows over here.

I have a complete set of one piece doors that are rusty but are complete for the conversion

how much would you want for the crucial parts like regulator, glass, and internal guides? freight would be a killer... but i dont think i can get them anywhere over here

let me know if your willing to part with them. maybe some photos of how the internals work would also me good so i could see how much work im looking at.

I have sent the complete conversion (minus door panels) once before to a dude in Sydney but it took a while to locate all the parts then to arrange shipping (approx $350NZ), so unfortunately I'm not interested in doing it again sorry man

I can get some photos to you tho

Made some small progress on this little truck

Brought some tidy one piece glass doors

Also the deal with the last tailgate that I had lined up fell through. But fortunately I found a brand new reproduction early model tailgate with the old style lettering, sweet!

I had to move it from where its been sitting for the last 6months to a new location. Took it for a spin round some back roads which was fun. Looking forward to getting this thing on the road.

I had to tow it to travel through town, Toyota towing a Toyota

Get you some of this barn find! I was reunited with my lhd 82 yota today. I had to move it from one side of the barn to the other. I fitted a battery and sprayed some cold start down the carb and the old girl fired right up and ran smoothly, stoked! Nothing seized, not bad for sitting for 2 years. I was able to drive it out and back into its new spot. This has kept the dream alive! Hope to have this on the road in the not so distant future
