hello everyone, hope you guys can help me with this tiny issue i have with my baby. I have a 82 toyota pickup long bed dlx model. 5 speed manuel tranny. So she starts up fine, runs fine then when im 15 minutes into driveing and have to come to a stop.and let go of the gas, the truck shuts off, i am able to turn it on and keep driveing but as soon i let go of the gas it does it again. it will do this for about 5 miles then run smooth again. If anybody can help me with this.

P.S. on some drives my 5 gear will pop out and will not ingage, i have done a tranny oil change.

So you have a 22R engine? with a 5 speed?

 

yes sir 22r 5 speed, with original carb im california gotta keep it smog legal
