Frame is rusted bad right on elbow where it meets leaf mount. I took it to a welder he told me it was to far gone but he will be able to weld half of a new chassis onto my halfway rusted one ( rust stops just after cab). I have put alot of work and time into this truck and I don't want to see this rust end her life. If anyone has some unique ideas on a frame that will match up I would appreciate it greatly. 81 frames are hard to come by, especially one that isn't rusted out just like mine.

what do you guys think i should do? is there a good reasonably priced place for me to buy a frame? or should i do something crazy like fabricate the back of the frame from a different truck that meets the same dimensions (or close). im all out of ideas, everything has been fixed on the truck besides the cancer of course.


Definitely converting it to a flat bed. What frame would be the best for mini flatbed?

 

I can met u with a complete rolling frame for 150 I just have to pull the cab an bed off

dude, your a life saver.is it an 81 frame?

i got a rollback i can use to transport it , i would be happy to help you tear it apart to if it becomes more of a problem than you thought.
