Hey guys! My name is James, and I decided to join the forum after realizing what a neat and dedicated environment it was for fellow Toyota enthusiasts. I haven't been in the Toyota truck fanbase for all that long (going on about a year here actually) but since then I've fallen in love. So here's what I have, 1980 Toyota pickup 2wd sr5 longbed. This truck has been well maintained and cared for by the family friend who I got it from. It used to be his grandfathers, and he was reluctant to sell it until he got his hands on a new truck. Then it came to me, and all that I've done with it is given it a good cleaning inside and out (the paint was very oxidized, and the inside was a bit dirty). Its missing the original wheels, as they were stolen when the previous owner went on vacation. He came back to a bricked truck, what a bummer. It did have a camper on it, but it was a little too big for the truck and looked goofy so I sold it. As said its in really good condition, aside from an engine problem that I'm not quite sure about. Occasionally, the truck has a problem idling, and if the gas is not being applied, it will die out. Its done this since the day I bought it, and I'm not entirely sure what the issue is. I don't have alot of mechanical smarts, so I haven't really looked that much into it. Aside from that, its a really great little truck and I love it. I'll try to post a picture or two tomorrow.
