I have a problem people. Has anyone been able to remove a ignition cylinder when the steering wheel is locked and won't release? Seems I can't get the wheel to release the cylinder, but the cylinder won't come out to release the wheel.

    Need help please!!!

Dumb question, but you are using the key, correct?

My 85 needs the key to remove the cylinder.

Turn the key in the ignition to accessory with the steering column shroud removed and push the button on the bottom of the lock cylinder and the cylinder will slide right out.

Ok, didn't think I needed to say this but I know the key has to be turned to accessories to pull the cylinder out. Since I first posted I was able to remove the ignition assembly from the steering column. The wheel is free now, but the lock cylinder is still jammed. I am trying to drill out the pin on the bottom to remove the lock cylinder to replace it.
