ok so this has probs been asked before but..... what is the best way for more lows on a budget? i got 2 inch blocks according to previous owner but want to go to 3-4 inch, would it be better to keep the 2" blocks and get my leafs reset or go out and buy bigger blocks? and in the front just wind the torsion barsm or is the something i can buy to drop it? please nothing too expensive
Ball Joint flip is free and can net you 1" to 1 1/2". Check out SD Yotas write up in the " How To" section. 3" blocks are just fine you won't run into problems. Just take your bump stops out. I have the same set up and I don't hit my frame even on big bumps. Then check out SD Yotas write up on to "torsion bar re key" to level out your drop. Then if ya want more drop buy drop spindles they will cost about 200ish. Hope this helps.
You can also pull a leaf from the spring pack. Itl bring down another inch (depending how many leafs are in the pack)
Belltech spindles and some DJM arms in front and Belltech leafs and some 3" blocks in back, with c-notch. Or, ball joint flip and the spindles, or the arms, and the same as above for the rear.
Exactly what I did. Spindles, Arms, BJ flip with leafs and 4" blocks. Not exactly cheap, but rides great and sits like this on stock wheels.
Your welcome. The spacers/washers needed for the ball joint flip if you choose to use spacers are 12mm .
Thanks! The driveshafts are fine, mainly cause I have beef taco's crossmember notches. One behind the cab and the other back by the axle. Otherwise I'm pretty sure it'd be rubbing. The front tires rub, pretty sure it'll go away if I ever get around to removing the plastic inner fender and fold up the metal lip on the inside of the fender so it's flat.
Let's see..... The top ones are going to be 31 N-m or 23 ft - lbf. And as for the bottom 127 N-m or 97 ft - lbf. Good luck
