Fellas: I just picked up a 91 single cab 22re,and I have allways wanted to do a lowered truck. In the future I'm sure I will bagit and what not,but I will do something quick first,spindles/lower springs/blocks(not sure what way to go) So all of you veterans help a bro out and share your knowledge, pics, links sorry for all the newb ? to follow Anarchy Joe
welcome, the quickest easiest way to lower it is to adjust the torsion bars, and put in some blocks. there should be several threads on how to do it. spindles are a good idea when the funds are available.
Hey man welcome to the site! If you plan on baggin in the future i would deff do with Spindles in the front. The cheapest thing is blocks in the rear, or drop leafs. I did blocks my self. You can also de-leaf the rear packs to lower the back more. And in the front crank the torsion bars down to adjust the ride height in the front more. But as you play with torsions it affects ride quality.
Here are a couple of links... http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=950 http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t161887.html I think the leaf removal might be doubled..... oh well. Just means youll really know how to do it!
Best pic i could find. Dont have and straigh on side shots of it...... gonna have to do something about that.
Oh and ignore the horrid state the paint is in. I was doing dent removal.. as you can see the lady who had it before me hit it alot.
Is anyone running tundra rims or some other nice azz toy rims on there low toy pics would be nice Thanks Anarchy joe
Tacoma Rims I just picked up the exact rims and they did not fit. The lug pattern is the same but the center bore is smaller. I am going to have to grind them out or something. Any sudjestions?
lowering Just buy big rims if you're gonna bag it. Try to steer clear of things you don't need in the future.
