Almost done getting this dash in. Got one last piece and then pull it out and start shaving the A/C vents and molding in the air guages.
I have more pics on my old phone, but here is one when I was puttin the new carpet in using a 93 tilt column and got the 4runner guages to work with the tacoma dash just had to do some cutting.
Looks sweet. Like when people jump in and change stuff up. I have a dash swap in my dodge and changed nearly everything about my hiluxs.
Doesn't line up like the stock dash, everything is close but had to make brackets and mounts and do some trimming.
How many hours would you say you had into it? I'm sure some people are wondering to consider it too lol. Looks good. Much smoother lines.
I got probably around 12 hours in it so far. The AC controls line up and bolt in. But the gauges and steering column kinda sucked. I got some final tweaking to do before I pull it out for painting it. I didn't use the duct work for the AC though since I'm shaving the vents and it still blows on the floor
After seeing a Tacoma dash today I thought about this. Looks good. Too bad it's not a more direct bolt in.
Looks like it was meant to be. Nice fit and everything. Good job. Even though the dash is a big thing to swap in and it's a stock dash from a newer truck, it's the subtle changes that can make a big difference.
No, I gotta get workin on it again. I've been working 6 days a week so haven't worked with the truck in a long time. Gotta get started again haha. I'm gonna pull the dash Out and get the bench seat redone in black leather soon.
