I recently bought a 1983 Toyota motorhome and I feel the front suspension is not up to the task. When the camper is loaded and driving down a rough road the bump stops are deffinatly hitting. What can be done to the front end to (A) build the suspension to handle more weight? (B) give me 2"-3" of lift. I have heard of using a larger torsion bar but am unable to find them. I am not against fab work seeing how I am thinking of a v6 swap. any advise would be appreciated.

Easiest and cheapest option might be to re-index the torsion bars and get yourself a stiffer heavy duty shock. I think There is a thread with a very well documented process on re-indexing the torsion bars on this site.
