hey all i finished putting my weber on yesterday and couldnt work out how to wire up the choke. can someone tell me if i can cut wire C and put a spade terminal on it to plug into the weber choke, completly remove wire B all together (anyone know what this does) and screw part A into my weber (also what does this part do) and then just hook it up to my standard wiring harness? i took it for a run (started quite easily without the choke) and does it make a difference, also sounds unbelivable... thanks
Use the same wire ( C ) for your choke, I used the original one that was there for my new choke no problems. The rest I eliminated or plugged except my vacum advance for the distributer, alot of stuff youve probably found out hooks up to the emmisions and is rendered useless ( hence removal or plugging ) . . .
yea lot of **** went to the bin... but when i turn the key off the car trys to run on and was wondering if one of those wires if for the fuel shut of solenoid circuit in the carby (just a guess, but i assuming its A)... honestly tho i wouldnt have a clue
A is the fuel cut solenoid. I don't know how the weber is supposed to hook up so that's all the help I can be...
just bumping an old thread but whenever i shut my motor off it trys to run on and i have to stall it to get it to stop, does it do that for anyone else? did any one wire anything else besides the choke up?
Mine did run-on until I turned down the mixture screw a little bit and avoided reving it up before shutting it off. Figured it as, dont introduce extra fuel in the carb that it cant get burnt off. Also, heard that if you run another intake instead of the stock one the problem goes away. . . Only wire I have hooked up on both my trucks with the same carb is the choke, nothing else. . .
yea, its lettin extra fuel in the carb right as u shut off..try turnin the mixin screw down abit, if anything call weber..
