hi guys the drivers side lower control arm on my 1978 toyota hilux short bed is all bent up and warped. it must have been involved in some kind of accident at some point in its life. someone has obviously taken it off at and beat the piss out of it with a hammer to attempt to straighten it out but its far from perfect it probably doesnt hurt anything but id still like to replace it just in case. problem is i cant seem to find one anywhere. does anybody have one for sale or know where i can buy one? if i were to go to the junkyard what years would i be able to use a control arm from?

 

Da9guy... No positive but you could probably use 79 to 83 LCA. Looks like your in the AZ... U-pull here in ABQ has a '78 in the yard and I bet it has both arms. I'm not sure what they look like, but if your planning a trip to NM...stop and pull it. Self Serve Used Auto Parts - At U-Pull-&-Pay, you pull your own parts and save! We also buy used and junk cars and pay cash on the spot! I know that doesn't help much,, but I had same issue with my 79. The previous owner was hitting all kinds of stuff...the upper arms were twisted.
