That's badass! Thanks for posting so many. I saved them all to reference.

Does the front mount of the subframe hang below truck frame rail height? How much camber does it have at ride height? Do you plan to swap the various control arms with any aftermarket ones, and if so, what's the good ones to get? Other than further requiring me to make fender flares, this looks like something I could tackle on a weekend with a welder. Very informative. Thanks again.

And do you have any plans sorted out for how to mount the strut out back? A small hoop would work well or to stay under the bed I was thinking you could run off the corner of the frame to a lower arm, if there's one strong enough to take the load.

Also, with it set to your proper wheelbase, did your driveline length work out the same or did that have to be changed? What about the ebrake cables? Thanks again.

Does a sway bar work its way into that mix at all? Is it even needed? I'm seriously debating this after your build pics confirmed the step by step process I already assumed you took for most of it. Great work.

that looks like it sit's rather high and the upper a arm is rather jacked

your going to need custom lower arms made up

The front mounts do hang slightly below the frame, I debated notching the frame to recess them, but that would have gave it too much pinion angel. The mounts actually attach just beyond where the frame starts to slope up, so they only hang down just barely, and since tuckin 20's or laying frame isnt the plan, its no problem at all. Its amazing how everything dam near fell into place, the slope of the frame just about matches the slope of the irs cage.

Cambers no issue as the rear is adjustable. No need to change control arms as well.

Mounting the qa1's is next, the shock length at ride height is approx. 12", and will require the wheel wells be opened up to clear the coilovers/mounts. I think structurally the best bet is to use the factory spindle mounts and run a hoop like you stated.

Once the suspension is done, my next step is swapping in the 7m. Driveline will definitely need to be shortened.Ebrake cables not a problem either, thats the beauty about the toyotas, they used alot of the same ideas between all theyre models making interchanging parts a breeze.

Theres already a factory sway bar mounted and the aftermarket parts available for the mkIII's make the possibilities endless.

Thanks man, its not a tough swap, just ALOT of measuring. Once you knock all the leafspring mounts off the frame, you can jack the assembly up to the frame and use a big ratchet strap to secure the front of it. This will give you some play to move things around as needed to get the measurements you need.

I've got 3 different width 8" axles I've been collecting so I have the correct one for my new build. Now I'm seeing how easy it is to swap in IRS and here I am building an autocross truck where this is ideal... Damnit now I need to find a wrecked supra. :D

all so the stock sub bushings are rather ****ty I just run alum spacer the stock sub frame moves around alot thats one reason why they tend to crack

Shouldn't have opened up this thread...Now I want to go and find a MKIII rear end and do this with my truck. I'm going to save all this info you have gotten up for a later date. Still need to drop the 7mgte in that I picked up before even thinking about this. Love the work that you did on yours and its very inspirational!

Thanks man, that means alot. If you do decide to do it, let me know. I still have all the templates and I'll help you any way possible! I attatched a pic of the coilovers installed, I was still able to retain the stock bed floor.

I think I finally talked myself into doing the irs swap. A local supra guy is sourcing a rear subframe and knuckles out for me now. :D

whats the specs on the wheels to get them to clear the body?

He said 17x7x39 so I took it as a 17x7" with +39mm offset.

Love it. Looks great together. Nobody except the rare few will notice from the bed floor.
