I bought some pace setter header for roughly 150... they are not bad at all. I started pulling my oem header off and found a tube that re circulates exhaust.. that's what had the rotted hole not my header.. so I've been lurking the auto parts stores and the Web looking for a replacement.. can't find nothing. . It's starting to irritate me.. anyone have info on this?? Or maybe where I can find one??

My pacesetter had a spot to put the air injection minimanifold onto it, I welded the holes up. It's emissions crap that after all these years doesn't work right anyways. Simplify and clean things by getting rid of it.

I did that as well, also made a plate for the passenger side of the head and removed the egr valve. The air pump bracket is needed for the passenger motor mount to fit correctly so if you remove it you will need to cut it (what I did) and put the removed piece back in or install spacers/stacked washers.

Definitely gonna delete all that crai when I get a chance.. The emmisions tube had a hole in it so I wrapped it up and threw the header on for now.. anyone ever have that paint chip off their header?? As soon as I warmed it up it started flaking off.

If you looked at the header closely, there should've been a sticker that said this is not high temp paint..

I took mine to work and blasted it and then painted it in VHT Flame proof ceramic paint.. Havnt swapped motors yet so I havnt put it on..

The original paint on mine lasted a few months. I use the 1200* high temp paint from the parts store. Just flat black bomb it, sometimes on car sometimes off car. Could also have them ceramic coated if there's places locally near ya that don't charge a ton

Right on. I guess I didn't pay close enough attention. Its all coming back off next week. Ill respray the header when my manifold studs and carb stuff comes in the mail. Heres a pic of the nasty paint peel.

Looks good man, I am running the same header, no issues so far except for clearance at the t-bar. I cut the a.i.r. tubes off the flange and welded up the holes for a cleaner look.
