ok , I got a 94 Ext cab. Of course I have the Try-windows with the Ugly Door mirrors.. After looking at them for a while I noticed there is not much other then fabricating or Moving then somewhere else that I can do ... I don't like the look of them or how close to the center of the doors they are placed..
SO anyone out there found a way to use a different type of mirror with out having to fab something or shave them off completely.. any other makes work better .. lets see some pictures or Idea's thanks.

What do you mean by try-window?

You might be able to swap in the 4runner power mirrors from the same body style. I have them, but didn't bother with making the power part work.

I have some stock mirrors that bolt into the corner of the window from a door without the wing window. Idk if theyd fit on a wing window door though if you want them

It's as easy as finding a donor with 1 piece glass and swapping all related pieces onto your doors. The rubber trim, regulator, everything. It's a straight across bolt in affair and once that's done mounting mirrors that mount at the front corner of the door is simple. I've done all of these swaps without issue.

my truck has the wing windows and the door mount mirrors. mine has all the holes and stuff to mount the regular mirrors like stated above, i just had to remove the interior lil black triangle plastic piece in front of the wing windows...and then there were 3 nuts that held the outer plastic piece on, then could install the mirrors....but it seems there are all kinds of variations on theses toys. some guys have cut out the and drilled the corner metal to install mirrors.

The mirrors mount that far rear ward because of the wing widow.
The doors with a one piece glass the stock mounting point is forward more.
You could fill the holes & use a motor cycle type mirror mounted high on the door,I personally do not like these as not much vision from them!!
I changed my doors to 4-Runner ones too get rid of the wing window!!
And I'm in the process right now of changing from the 4-Runner power mirrors to 92 Camaro power mirrors ,but this mod does require a lot of fab work!!

Interesting tips ... thanks.. I kind of like the wing windows.. I was looking for some suggestions on other mirrors that would work... I guess I will have to take it apart and see what I can come up with...
