Made a small frame/box for battery relocation. Hopefully it fits in that spot with the bed on. Need to run the wires now

    Haha, i can still dream.....

Still haven't done much.. The bed is off, but I plan on using the stock floor, just in a different manor. It'll be raised. I'm in the process of building a frame out of 1x2 for the bed to mount on the chassis. Also, I'm going to notch the frame soon, just need to find some metal. Found out that stuff ain't cheap. Thought about cutting the frame of a couple junk cars and making a notch outta them. Sounds crazy, I know, but if it was cheap, reliable and clean, what would it matter.

Ill try and get some work done and post some pics..

    Inner Fender Cut out

Havent done much lately. I did manage to cut out my front fenders a couple weeks ago. I still need to clean them up a bit. Im sure ill remove the entire inner fender when its all said and done, but i didnt want to hack to much out for now. Cutting them out was a little tricky.

Ive also gutted the interior. I took the back hump out where the rear seats used to be. Now all thats left is the hump where the gas tank sits under.

Not sure what Ill be doing next. Im tired of cutting things out. Im ready to start putting things back together....

    Torsion Bars

Finally got my torsion bars out. Working in such a small garage gets old quick. I have no room to move around. But yeah, I got the lock nuts broke loose after some pb blast and a breaker bar. I thought i was about to break the bar because that thing was flexing then it finally popped and i was able to spin the nuts all the way up. Took me forever though. The tires sit about an 1/8-1/4" off the firewall. I took and bent the pinch welds some so I could move the truck if i need to. Not sure what ill be doing next. I really need to get some C-notches going on in the rear and get some fabrication done. Not sure if itll be best to buy some notches of make my own. I want them perfect so my best bet will be buying some and welding them in.

How much you want to spend on a notch? I can get you a 1 piece for around 125 bucks.............

And you are gonna be cutting for a while lol...its a long process.

It's been a while since my last post and not much has changed. I've taken the entire front core support out because it will b replaced with a 4runner front core instead of the hack job I had before. I've also taken the a/c out so that I can begin the BD. I've started making the cuts along the back of the cab and some on the interior next to door jams. I need to pick up metal to make fillers and also cut the firewall. I hope that goes smooth. Seems to b a few wires/cables/lines underneath. Anyways, hopefully I can stay motivated and finish the drop soon. I'll post pics as I go.

Got most of the cab cut. It gets quite complicated. I'm taking it day by day though.. I suggest taking your time and making sure you measure and re-measure. Can't wait to see this thing BD. It's amazing the difference it makes. I tried bending the pinch up. That's rough. So I just cut where my support is and I'll weld it back when it's done.

She's finally body dropped. The left front needs about 1/8" further. I'll have to get a picture some other time but my steering column and I think one other thing is keeping the cab from dropping the remainder of the way. I can't wait to level it out, weld a little and make some filler plates. I could of cut in a few different places to make things easier, but I can make things work. Once the cab is welded back I plan to cut/weld the pinch. It seemed a bit more clean. Anyways, I'll b off Tuesday and plan to work on the yota then. Here is another picture of the front int. cab. Stay tuned.
