Hello everybody! I currently own a 2001 Toyota Tacoma S-Runner, 5 speed, 2wd, factory TRD supercharged. I bought her in June of 2011 with just over 46,xxx miles and she currently has 62,xxx miles. She is my baby and never let me down once. Since I've owned her I've had to replace nothing besides basic maintaince such as oil changes and 4 tires since loves to spin..... As far as modifications I have lowered her with DJM Suspension lowering control arms and ball joint flip in front for three inches and 4 inch blocks in the rear. She is coming up on her 60k even though all fluids essentially look new Ima keep her we'll maintained. I've also had a 1987 Toyota Pickup 4x4 5 speed that I loved dearly but had to sell and my brother form another mother has an 1988 Toyota Pickup 2wd 4 speed that we are constantly working on (not like it breaks down lol it's a Toyota. Just constantly modifying) we got it 4 years ago with only 78,xxx original miles and now she's at 123,xxx (she's definitely daily driven lol). But back to the S-Runner.... It caught my eye on day on route 17 and I stopped to look at it because the paint job caught my eye and the next thing I know the damn salesperson was walking up to me saying ya she's a beaut ain't she , she's got 46,xxx miles, supercharged, 5 speed manual one owner. Needless to say it was coming home with me. Sad part was I was leaving that night for my senior beach week party week down in nags head, North Carolina but told him to not let anyone touch or test drive until I returned. A week later as soon as I got back in town the next morning I went to test drive her and was officially hooked, trapped, and in love. I didn't realize how rare the truck was until the night I got home with her. Since then I have continued to love and cherish her for I have yet to see another one in person, but the time has come that I'm selling my motorcycle 06 r6, and gonna pay off my loan so the stunner will be in my name finally but here's my next ? What would y'all do should I sell it, bag it, or just leave her stock for now? I'm kinda stuck in a pickle? Need some different opinions other then my normal honda crowd lol they're everywhere just like damn mosquitoes
Ok never mind. You are about 2.5hrs south. I can tell you first hand do not bag it. A good static drop, wheels and tires and stick with performance. A bagged S sounds great but in the end not worth it. A 4link with coils and a QA1 coiover on the front is best. Beeftaco makes a complete bolt on kit. Truck will handle and ride great. The s-runner is rare and cutting it up would be a shame I think.
Ya that's where I don't know what I want to do because as much as I love the truck I know how rare it is. I know they only made 200 a month and I can't find out how many actually came with the TRD supercharger. But I feel like it's such a nice/rare truck that I don't want to mess it up for its future owner if I ever sell it. But deep down I love nissan and want a skyline or Silvia mainly just to have a rhd car but I know this ain't the place to discuss that lol but if anyone's interested in her let me know for I'm current accepting offers/applications for I will not just sell it to anyone. You have to be a Toyota fanatic.
Here she is, will upload more tomorrow morning for I got a new phone and don't have none of my old pictures except on my laptop which is at home :/
Eh, rare. Maybe. Id rather put a charger on a stock one and be done. Rather than pay a premium becuase of a "rare" tag...its nice though. Oh, welcome btw...
Appreciate it man, and I got where your coming from, but at the time when I bought it ,I needed something reliable while I finished my swap, and it's what I found
