Bout to order a flowmaster cat cuz mines clogged glowing red, causing the idle to stumble, and causing the engine to overheat. Horrible little bugg. But its time to swap that thing out. Can anyone tell me what width the stock pipe is coming down from the header? I wanna say 2inch to 2.25 but im not entirely sure. Thank you

hey man, im fairly certain its 2.25. i got a 2.25" non-cat to match the 2.25 cat-back exhaust i just put on and i remember noticing that the intermediate pipe right between the header and the cat was the same size

Older Toyotas ran 1-7/8" for years. You may have had work though, so its best to measure. Exhaust is measured by outer diameter. Either way, if you're ordering parts its time to upsize. 2-1/4" is a good flow vs stock. 2-1/2 if you want things to breathe great. I run 2.5" from my header collector back on my 78 22r that's built up. Hope that helps.

stock replacement pipes are 1 7/8 and were the same ID as my OE pipe even if it was put together like dog poo.

The ID of the cat inlet and outlet might be bigger than the actual pipe (On my cressida, the cat was over 2.5 in/out while the actual exhaust pipe leading to and from it was 2" or 2 1/8"
