I need to get or build a center console and want to see what everyone else has or built. Give me some details on where you got it or modifications you have done. My center is pretty bare right now. Suggestions?
Nice work truck action. I would have added a cup holder lol. I have a console from a 98 s10. Well, the back half. I only used it til the cup holder and made a CD player holder in front of the shifter. I still have the storage tub under the arm rest too. Ill find pics.
Truck action did you build that custom or fiberglass an existing one? Yeah some pictures would be great. Trying to get an idea of a few vehicles i can pull them out of so i can check out the pick and pull here.
One thing with the s10 is I cut the height down a few inches. Ill get pics up as I built it and finished.
I built around a stock console, attached fiber board with screws that I ground off once the glass set up. Don't have photo's of the stock unit,it was just a small box type with opening top for storage seat between the seats!Came in all the SR5's. This attaches the same way,hence the small cover on the large section & the wings on the small section.
Here's mine. Back half from a 98 s10 truck. Glasses over the cassette tape holder and shortened the height. Front half is panel board and glass to hold the deck. I never got around to wrapping it. It is bolted in though.

Thanks for the ideas. I purchased a center console out of a 4 runner and started to do some fiber glass modification to it. This is my first attempt at fiber glass so we will see how it turns out.
With glass work if you use flannel instead of glass mat it is a lot easyier & cleaner to work with. And than use long strand kitty hair body filler.
