You already bodied it but I planning on shortening the frame under the cab and laying the pinch weld. I am not trying to be the lowest, just the cleanest. Litneon and another guy from Japan are on the top of my List... If you want to enter some limbo contests then go to the rocker. If not stay at the pinch weld.

Too lay completely on the rocker you will have to shave the pinch!

I'm not bodied but did shave the pinch,as didn't like the look of the pinch sticking down when laid out!!

True that. You dont have to cut it off. You can use channel locks to get it bent, then use a heavy hammer to bend it back and flat against the cab. Its what I did...and yes, it looks way better laying rocker.

I would say to build the bottom six inches or so of the truck to extend and collapse like one of those folding cups that were popular in the 80's. That way when you lay it out, the panels fold up into themselves, giving the impression that its laying out UNDER ground level.

i hate the look of the pinch hanging down. it's usually a rough piece from the way the inner and outer weld together, and nobody seems to smooth em out before paint.

but i'm also not a fan of rubbing a piece of sheetmetal against the pavement.

i shaved my pinch weld off. was a pain in the butt being an older truck it was a little dirty. but i also bodied mine leaving about 1/4" of space between the ground and the rocker.

i ride pretty low and frequently bottom out going down the highway at 75 mph. but the rockers have yet to catch.
