Would anyone happen to know the markings on a connecting rod bearing Letter wise cause the only place that currently has is the dealership All parts stores are out help thanks
Micrometer . I normally do not use there std or undersized chart and always fall on a good micrometer as a positive measure Size: Big end inner diameter: Crank pin diameter: Bearing center wall thickness: A: 56.000 - 56.006: 52.988 - 53.000: 1.484 - 1.488 B: 56.006 - 56.012: 52.988 - 53.000: 1.488 - 1.492 C: 56.012 - 56.018: 52.988 - 53.000: 1.492 - 1.496 U/S 0.25: 56.000 - 56.018: 52.701 - 52.711: 1.626 - 1.636
Parts store bearings are usually going to be to the stock nominal reading and .010" undersizes. letter codes are for fine tuning and have to be matched to your crank so yea, get the mic out.
