Spindles and drop LCAs can be combined for a 5" drop.
With a BJ flip u cant get about another inch of drop.

So with that said, 6" front drop total

it give's you about 1 inch of drop but go get some grade 8 bolts and some RED lock tight ... you can also put a few washers to get a bit more drop out of it I was really surprised to see how much I got out it:jawdrop:... but if you are running 15 inch wheels there might be some clearance problems

good luck with your build bro

When you do the lcas what part of the torsion bar receiver are you suppose to drill a 7/16" hole into?

What hole are you taking about? I have some pics on my build page of the install but not a write up.

Now, that I think about it, I don't remember having to do that in the instructions...

The new long silver bolts that come with the DJM arms that attach the splined torsion piece to the rear of the control arm is too big in diameter to fit through the torsion piece, (stock bolt is metric & slightly smaller in dia. than the new standard DJM bolt) so you need to drill the torsion piece open slightly so the new silver bolt will fit through.

It's better than re using the smaller stock bolt imo. The silver bolts are not only new but slightly bigger, which means more strength.

The worst part of this job is dealing with the greasy torsion bars. I highly recommend getting new ball joints before you start this job since your old ones will have a lot of miles on them, plus you'll most likely destroy the old ones when removing them.

People will try to save that extra $225 it's going to take to get 4 new ball joints, but if you plan ahead and do it right you'll be super glad you did when it's time for the project.

I didn't, I didn't even remove them from the spindles. Just removed the bolts from the arms to the ball joints. Mine where still in good and I did not damage them by doing it that way. I used all the DJM hardware included but maybe I just forgot about it the drilling part. .

I just realized why I mentioned getting new ball joints...because when I did DJM arms, I also did Belltech drop spindles, and that's when I realized I should have gotten new ball joints because the old ones were putting up a fight when I was trying to remove them from the stock spindles and re use them. They were stuck in there real good.

Yeah if you're re using the same spindles, and only installing arms, you can just unbolt the ball joint brackets from the stock arms and re bolt them to the new arms. That's what I love about the Toyota arms and the bolt on ball joint brackets. :waytogo:
