Hey guys how y'all doin, I'm new to the forums here and I wanted to ask. I have a 91 xcab 2wd and from center of the rim to bottom of fender is right around 15", so I'm guessing I have a 2 or 3 inche drop. What's the average ride height that I should have?
Ok well I'm tryin to adjust the torsion bars to level out the front. Now I've noticed that the the driver side rear sits 1.5" lower than the passenger. ( the gas tank is on the passenger)
On this forum, if you can insert a feeler gauge between the any point on the frame and the road it is too high. Sounds like your rear leafs may be sagging a bit. I'm in the same boat. A good, local spring shop should be able to re-arch the ones you have to stock height, if thats what you want.
spec is about 10.5" from the ground to the center of the LCA frame bolt in front and ground to the forward leaf bolt in back, that's how you measure ride height. (+/-1/2" for variations in model, trim, weight, and tires) Mine sits dead on spec last I checked.
