Ok ..sooo I am not the most forum savvy guy nor is my grammar the best . But I am a hilux guy like no other I have bin in to them for a long long time. My 1st truck was a hilux and so it has bin for 8 years now I have 2 of them one is a 1987 custom one ton I use to tow stuff (drift car other hilux ) the other lux is a 1979 2wd with a 2jzgte full cage single turbo 8" rear ...all that jazz that is the one I have had for 8 years now when it was stock I had to sell it in times of need. But it always cam back to me some how it even went in to craigslist and poped up in Ohio (I live in p.a) and yet it still found its way home to me that was the last time I sold her. that would be the 5th time it came home to me lol any way I am well versed in "hilux" as I am a Toyota mechanic but like most of us hear I am always looking to mod my hilux minis so that's y I am hear on your forum. I have done a lot to these truck. And all the knowledge I have learned I would love to share. I also would love to see what else people have done and how that can help me with my never ending and always growing "Hilux love" Hope this is a ok intro and that its in the right spot? ....thanks Hdrift

sweet thanks bro I have bin visiting this site for years now I always feel like i can help some one on there build some how. Welcome! I'll always favor the '79-'83 models. Still remember when I got mine in Nov 1981 and walking to the back lot when I spotted my short bed SR5. It's full loaded with options for the 1982 model (including cruise control) minus the moon roof. Have fun hanging out with us! Rick
Pretty sweet dually project. I think we have all spent too much time working on our trucks. I've had my 78 five years now. Want another one to start over on now. They're fun to build.
Thanks guys for the positive feed back happy to be on a forum with "real" hilux enthusiast like my self. I to am a 79-83 fan its funny you say cruse control because on the hilux its such a rare option lol i think only we get that .. I will post a build thread of my trucks and the dyi mods we can all benefit from ..as soon I figure out how .. see you all on the site and thanks
