Hello everyone, I figured I would post up and introduce myself.

My name is Jeff from Bakersfield, CA and I'm driving to Nevada This weekend to pick up a 1975 Toyota Hilux:waytogo:

I have always loved Toyotas because of my dads old 82 pickup that I used to steer around the cul-de-sac while sitting on his lap as a kid haha. He now has an 02 Tundra that is awesome and I was temped to get one but the older trucks just always had a special place in my heart so here I am lol.

Here are a few pictures of the truck I'm picking up. My girlfriend found it on CL and I had to have it.

For now it's just going to be a daily drive once I get the coil fixed and put some new tires on it. But eventually I'll be building it to be a fast clean street truck after i finish my current project lol

Here is my current project that will be getting a fully built 10:1 motor, 6766 precision turbo, built head and e85 ;) so I will have an extra block sitting around... Hmmm what to do with it?? Haha like I said, I've always loved toyotas.

Nice find. Love both your projects. Wouldn't mind having a Supra myself!

Welcome Jeff!!! Nice to see another Californian on here. I'd prefer an older/classic Toyota over what is getting produced today. That's because "Old School is the Cool School." My SR5 is fully loaded for the 1982 model minus the moonroof. It's still a GREAT truck and lots of fun with its go fast goodies. It makes me smile when I get compliments from other drivers.

Let us know when you have the truck!
    Rick
