    1988 toyota pickup
    id like to lock the rear diff of my truck, i like to lay down rubber but dont wana blow out my spiders and i wana have more fun haha, any cheap recomendations? ik abt randys ring and pinion, but just wonderd about other ideas.

    Cheap? Grab a welder and burn the spiders together.

    thought about it, but they dont usually hold up do they?

    They'll hold up fine if its squeaky clean and has good penetration on the welds a experienced welder to helps .. I have used Randy's ring and pinion products in both my old gmc truck and my camaro rear end he has great products . In case you go that route

    Dont weld it.

    Welding is fine for drifter kids who are just gonna crash into a wall shortly anyways.. but on any street driven car it gets old pretty quick.. hard on rear tires too.

    r&p are cheap, really.. and then you still have differential..
