I just installed my shocks and I was just wondering
If I need a boot on my front shocks

Here's how it looks do I need something to cover it or I can use them like that?

It's optional boots are just dust dirt mud covers the shock has a scrapper gasket at the bottom to help scrap of mud .. Totally up to you if you want to cover them ..parts stores or even a junk yard could have some boots that will do the job . If you live or travel were sand and mud are common I'd cover them

Boots aren't required but they will help the shocks last longer. biggest source of failure is loss of fluid/gas from damaged seals. biggest cause of seal damage is dirt or grit on the rod getting past the dust scraper. no matter how good the scraper is, if there isn't dust to scrap, less work for it to do.
