How & where do you guys with the cartoon like truck pics get those? Could someone help me out with one?
you can either go to www.toyotareference.com and steal one to edit. or provide me with a profile shot like this and ill make ya one
i should rephrase that. a pic that is how it is now. from straight on. i can do that stocker if ya want but if thats not how it looks why do it? straight on makes the wheels easier. or i can just do colored stock ones
first i print out the stock image i stole from www.toyotareference.com onto a index card. then i take a old candle and build a 3d model of it. then i transfer the wax model to a plastic template. and bake it @ 280 for 10min to get all the pieces to set. after its cooled off i take it to a friend with a laser 3d modeling tool. we get all the dimensions accurate then i run off with a disk too... my friend with a water jet. we take a sqft chunk of forged aluminum and whittle it away till im left with a 3d aluminum model, i like aluminum cuz its lighter then casting it in pot iron. then im off to the painters to have it powder coated in primer. then i use your provided picture to mix paint until i can perfectly match it. i spray up the model, and make tires n rims out of tin foil and rubber grommets. now i can finally take a picture of it. then i put it in photoshop size it down and lower the resolution to end up with the lil toons you see below. no i really just use photoshop, takes about 10min
The funny thing is it probably took you longer to type all that up than it does to make one. I didn't get the pics today. Did taxes instead. I'll get it tomorrow.
