Its actually called the air temp sensor but. Just call the sensing bulbs as most newer Maf have an actual bulb suspended buy wires ...the little white thing in your photos Toyota 22RE Air Flow Meter (AFM)
Ooohh yea I cleaned the maf and no difference, I haven't got to check the temp sensor idk where my multimeter is at. Soon I will.
There are some 95 model year vehicles that were equipped with obd2 system they were the first run of obd2 vehicles 7 states received these as they enforced act177 . For example are 95 s10 shop parts truck is obd2 . Although this Toyota isn't marked obd2 its a sub system truck and performs like obd2 . stated buy Toyota emissions and Toyota has listed the info to test the TWC sub 02 cali emission trucks the 2 oxygen sensors per and post is the early form of ob2 its right there in code on the sticker. Ho2s(2) . labeled Cali emission (aka clean air act) These vehicles are refered as twc catalyst sub 02 cars toyota diagnostics suggest testing using obd2 software or v-dod system real time analyst scanners. and some more modern obd1 real time scanners usually no longer carried buy reputable shops. I'd post the Toyota testing PDF file its extremely large Pretty much a Cali truck is a precursor to obd2 . And having to deal with rear 02 sensors there is very little difference between ob1 ob2 with 2 having larger sensor parameters . And a clear standardized universal code read out
And search for the ohm settings for the coolant temp sensor . I can't seem to find them at the moment I would say do a real time scan on the truck via a laptop and a data cable If there were software available for free on the web but. Don't think there is much support for the Toyota truck ecu .
Thanks guys I'm almost ready to move and gonna be making long trips on this truck so I want it to run right. So I thank you for your input.
It's been a while but I think we got it, just changed the temp sensor and it hasn't had that issue, cel is still on but no acting up.
