I've come across a few For Sale trucks and I'm still confused on what the "Deluxe" model includes. Is it an engine/drivetrain package, interior option package or some type of appearance package? I'm also guessing that people sometimes substitute DX or DLX for this designation.

    TIA for the help.

I'd say maybe chrome appearance package maybe interior upgrade as far as seat material. Engines and trans were all the same..

seat material, color availability, gauge cluster, power windows, chrome, etc....not much. Don't worry about the trim, just measure by the features it actually has.

Yup, engine/trans is independant of appearance package.

Russel basically just described the SR5 trim - a DLX will have even fewer upgrades such as carpet, a/c, padded dash, tilt wheel, and sometimes a tach.

SR5 most of the time will have all of these: v6, power windows, power locks, sport buckets, center console, tach, chrome power mirrors, cloth full door panels, and sunroof.

My DLX had chrome grill, chrome handles, chrome rear bumper, no AC, full cluster, full vinyl door panels, sail mounted mirrors, Carb with altitude compensation, I think i have a padded dash?? its soft to touch, No Tilt.

Now the truck has, tilt and SR5 dome light, SR5 door panels, Ice cold AC :) and more..

In particular, these are 2wd, reg cabs I'm finding (looking for). Isn't the SR5 always 4x4?

89 Regular Cab. The weirdo with the stock suspension.
My truck is a DLX. It has Chrome grille, bumpers and door handles. Full vinyl door panels, cloth bench seat, A/C, 22r, carpet and no power anything. no tilt, no tach. Hope that helps.

my dlx packaged 2wd came with full actual carpet, fully covered door panels, tilt column, tach gauge cluster, lower pocket compartment under the radio, 60/40 bench with arm rest, rear seats, chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome grill and corner light trim, chrome door handles, rear sliding glass, dlx package side graphics, rear tailgate painted emblem, stainless steel wheel covers, 205/65/14 tires, v6, power steering, a/c, and 5 speed manual.

the sr5 option would have added premium radio tuner, power mirrors, locks, and windows, chrome mirrors, aluminum wheels, bucket seats, (premium) heated 60/40 bench or sport buckets with center console, door pockets, upgraded side graphics, cruise control, optional 4 speed auto with OD.

i know im probably missing a few details but thats what ive seen on a couple of original window decals.
