I'm sure after, what's it been 3 years of building, you just want to drive her around anyways. Haha glad to see she's getting some road time. West coast nats isn't to far a drive for yah. Would be sweet to see her pulling a boat out there!! :p she's looking good burnzy :waytogo:

thanks. it definitely seen it's share of a trailer as i showed it before it was drivable. it's got over 2k miles on it now.

thanks. the truck had sat in the az desert since 1991. still makes me happy knowing i bought a truck listed as parts and made it into what it is.

on the way home about 10 miles from phoenix it started acting like the fuel pump was dying. my friend had a trailer so i towed it the rest of the way home. now it runs fine so i'm suspecting that the gas i got in parker was garbage. i was hesitant to fuel there but i had limited options lol.

lol i have over $600 in gauges that i bought like a year ago. i just wanted a finished dash before i mounted them, and i have no desire to make the dash lol. eventually i'll get the dash done and mount the gauges. a speedo would be nice. i added 12v power outlets to use my phone gps, but it has spotty signal out here.

yep, more time and money then i should have ever put in a minitruck lol

I haven't had a speedometer in years. Theyre over rated. I tell the cops I don't have one and they laugh :D

fuel pump was officially dead. would work fine but the second it got hot it would not make pressure. i replaced it with a 255lph walbro instead of the 190lph that it had. seems to be doing good.

took it to a show on july 4th.

Get some plexi and bolt that in for a bed floor. It would look rad. Nothing to paint either lol.

thanks. it's getting painted by a friend. he done several cars that have won best of show paint so i'm really excited, but i want the body to be perfect. gotta fix all the crappy 70's door gaps.

the center of the floor is going to stay open. it's gunna suck keeping it clean, but they can't judge what they can't see at a show. so it's gunna be wide open.

i will keep that in mind!

Again, run plexi lol. Judges can usually see through it. No wiping down everything or worrying about cops saying you need tire covers. I have pics of roadster ranger that has plexi floor head to tail. I have always wanted that glass bottom boat feel in something.

The plexi or lexan would scratch too easily and look worse than the dirty bed or suspension. Also cleaning the bottom side of it would suck worse than wiping down the suspension.
