My 71 is getting a heart transplant!!!

    Not sure how everyone is gonna feel about this one. I finally decided on what engine to go with. I was deciding between the Beams 3SGE and the SR20DET and I've made my choice; I decided on the 13B REW lol. This will be my build thread and I will be keeping it updated until the swap is complete and running and beyond as I plan on doing rear independent suspension and upgrading the fuel system and other things.

    If its light enough, a rotary will do just fine, actually 71 is 2435 curb weight :)

    I was out at the track last month and mine weighed in at just over 2300 lbs without out me in it

    Update! The motor came in yesterday and I'm hoping to start ripping apart the old girl next week, heres a picture of the REW [​IMG]

    Rotary will be a fun project. Should keep the nose nice and light and therefore nimble. I love the pic of the celica under the hilux. Super rad.
