I just bought a set of sidemarkers for an EK civic that I want to install on my 88 single cab. Whats the best way to wire them? I have all the tools to do the job, just dont know how I would wire them. Any advice is appreciated. :D

i would just tap into the headlight wiring or the turn signals if you want them as turn signals.

Do you want the to stay on or blink? The have to be 3 wire to blink, if you just want them to come on with the parking light the you just need to map out the circuit make sure the fuse can handle the additional draw but for two sidemarkers I wouldn't worry about it.

Tap into the corner light in the fender. It glows but doesn't blink. Would be a cool mod. You gonna put them up high or down low on the fender area of the body line?

Highish, I installed them already but just havent wired them, It's dark out now so I'll finish up tommorrow. I want to have them blink when i use my signals & maybe have the bumper lights on when i have my dims on. Let me take a picture of them real quick so you guys can see how they look on there.

Looks cool. To have them glow and blink might be tough if they are a 2 wire socket. There's guys who know this trucks wiring better than me. Nam and SD yota have done some upgrades on theirs recently.

what do you want to run them as? side markers or turn signals? something that small usually only meant to do one thing... if you wanna run them as markers, tap power from the front side markers. if you wanna do turn signals, you can tap the front bumper power.

IMO they would've looked better under the line where the fender flares out

If you want them to do both, (a blinker and a park light), it must be an incandescent bulb (not LED).

    To wire it up:
    1) Tap the + side of the factory blinker in the bumper, and run it to one side of your new bulb.
    2) Tap the + side of the factory park light on the fender, and run it to the other wire of your new bulb

This will make it a park light normally, but when you turn on the blinkers, it will flash as well. (even with a single element bulb)

excellent idea man if i could change anything i would just lower them to right about the center of the fender like if your looking where the wheel well is the top of it to the right. Did you end up making it a turn signal, or a constant on?
