hey guys just picked up an 89 Toyota from a friend who moved out of state. it has 186,722 miles on it and recently did a full flush and new belts with a friend that works at Toyota. its nothing special right now just got basic stuff like alarm, system and tint but future plans on the way. never had don't anything of this sort so all knowledge is accepted.
Welcome, what are your future plans? its sad that i look at stock yotas and start thinking "bumper removal, 5.5/4 drop and some wheels" lol.
Welcome! Looks nice, definitely a good start! Its wierd looking at stock trucks and thinking they look super lifted..
Sorry I'm late to the party I was stuck in traffic welcome to the forum truck looks like it begging for some mods keep us posted on your progress
I got wheels but im debating on tires that I can do a minor stretch to. I purchased 15x10 with 4in backspacing. so im debating if I should go 225/50 for 235/50 so that's my dilemma. he gave me 5in blocks I just need new u-bolts. and when I get the tires mounted ill lower it and do the b/j flip and crank torsion bars.. also do anyone know were I can get some 4wd fenders for a good price?? I know I can go to the local junk yard but I want them dentless and ready to paint.. I plan on getting clear corners, clear turn signals, hid head lights, LED taillights and different side mirrors.
thanks you guys for the support. I cant wait to lower it and I will deff post pics of this build.. do you know were I could purchase some nice fender flares?? plan on doing it or roll and pull my fenders. but I think the flares would look nice and rock wider wheels.
4wd fenders gain plenty of clearance. But the 2wd fenders have lots of stretch to be gained if you do them right. My old 92 had as much width added as a 4wd fender, without the cool lip.
