Toyota 2rz Power!!!!

 

Took the wife to grab some chik-fil-a and took the taco! She's never rode the truck since the big motor rebuild, bigger turbo and retune at 20 psi.... So we head to grab some grub and on the way home I hit 1st and hit 2nd gear half way through 20psi... She says wow that's strong. Then I wait a little while rev it a bit downshift to 2nd redline to 7500 rpm then shift and hit 3rd till about 70 mph. She says whoa I've never been a vehicle that feels that strong...and right after that comment she says, "Can I drive"? lol

I said yea soon and you can even drive it on the track if you want! lol Too funny I had to share....

 

I say let her rip thru the gears if she can handle it stepping out or burning the tires bouncing the tach then u got a good one ..

 

Lol, it's not her first rodeo. lol I've had hilux toy's since back in the day and she would drive my loud @ss full blown 22r w/ all the fixin's and had a s/c'd taco as well. lol She love's the Boosted Taco though, because it's quiet drives like stock with all the amenities and you don't notice anything till boost slaps you in the face and your neck snaps back! hahahaha

Ha Houston sounds like memphis haha Truck looks clean you gonna run the 1/4 mile . Or sticking to 1/8th mile setups

 

Soon...we were just testing the launch and shifts from 1st-3rd. I'm going to take out the short shifter it's really rough to get into 2nd.

Also, launch is suffering from boost lag...so wiring up a anti-lag for launch. I really think I can dip into the high 11's with the current setup.

Probably in the next month or two I should have it figured out and I'll be hitting the 1/8 one more time and then the 1/4 for sure. Top end is crazy on this 2rz...I didn't even rev out my 3rd gear on the 1/8, I still had a ways to go to stretch it.
