Right now i have the middle leaf pulled and bottom leaf flipped and loosened the torsion to level if I put a 3" block will the back hit frame or will I clear?

Anyone got pics of static dropped excabs and suspension specs it would be greatly appreciated.... thanks

Measure between the axle and the frame.

I have a 92, pretty much same setup, and yes the axle will hit the frame.
to solve that problem i installed a set of "Gabriel air shocks" and i run them around 40-50psi and it rides good, dosent bottom out as much

i would run a 3" block and reflip the overload to stiffen the rear suspension back up......

also, did you relax the bushing bind on the rear lefs when you pulled the leaf and flipped the overload?

Efiliated I'm probably going to do the air shock thans for the info...

Sdyota I did relax the bushings on the rear but they are pretty wasted so I gotta change em. will it still be the same hieght if I flip the load leaf back over?

It should be roughly the same height. It depends on how much of the main spring is contacting the overload. If they are extra saggy, you may gain a bit of height flipping them back over.

i think its to loosen the pressure on the bushing so it doesnt put so much stress on it since its not meant to be at that angle or something. that isnt an educated statement on the subject just a thought on what it might be.

that is pretty much the jist of it.

jack the rear of the truck up, let the axle hang while the frame is supported by jack stands. loosen all the shackle bolts, and the front spring hanger bolts, get the truck back on the ground and re tighten all the bolts. this takes the binding pressure from the previous position out of the spring. ive seen a difference of 1 1/2" from just that.

    no...
shackles are what mount the leaf springs to the frame at the back of the springs. the hanger is what mounts to the front of the spring.
U bolts are what mount the leafs to the axle tube.
