Does anyone know for sure if 2" spacers will kill my wheel bearings? Or break anything?

me and a few other buddies have run wheel spacers before... never had issues. i think fokai ran spacers on IS300 wheels for like 7 years with no issues...

I've got 2" on the front and there perfect but if you have an alignment issue it will exaggerate that more so if you have warped rotors get ready for the shakes when you brake

Depends on the bearings condition and adjustment to start with as well as the offset of the wheels being used with them. If the spacers are bringing an incorrect-offset-wheel to the right offset, then they'll cause the bearings to last longer. If you're using 2" spacers on correct-offset-wheels then you'll put a lot more stress on them. Won't cause them to fail immediately though, more like they'll last 1/4 as long as they would normally. so if under ideal circumstances they'd go another 20 years without problems, you might go 5 years without problems now. or 10. never know.

FYI those numbers are all pulled out of my butt. they might last half as long, they might last 1/50 as long. Point being don't worry excessively but be surprised if you have bearing problems. Just pay attention to noises and check the bearings once in a while.

Don't mean to thread Jack but didn't wanna start a new one. If I get 1/2" spacers will I need to get longer wheel studs or will the stock be fine

My 78 has enough stud length for 1/4" front spacers and not much at all out back. Longer studs are easy to install though.

Is it beat to just buy after market studs? I know in the past I've just matched what knurl I needed with longer stud from a different car make and used them? If that's the case what car is best to use?
